I zapped completely the previous Macports installation using the instructions given in the user guide. I did this because I was already having the problem upgrading from a previous version. Installing from scratch gave the same problems. Also this is related to similar ports like vanilla wine which gives me the same problems. I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with XCode 3.2. The build log is not always the same, so I attach the two usual logs that I get trying to build.
