The port currently correctly uses the Macports default python 2.7. Sorry about that---should the ticket instead be a request for py33-treeline? -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/43660#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
#43660: treeline: update to 1.9.4 and add python33 variant --------------------------+--------------------- Reporter: icaines77@… | Owner: alpha@… Type: update | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: Port: treeline | --------------------------+--------------------- Comment (by mf2k@…): pyXY-* ports are python modules. For ports that use python, you can use variants as I said in comment:2. See the mesa port, among many others, for an example of a port that uses python and has python variants. So this ticket can be about requesting a python33 variant. I have updated the summary. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/43660#comment:4> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

It looks like the 1.9.4 version does not support python 2.7 anymore. Should there just be a completely new port for the 1.9.x versions? Not sure what the convention is. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/43660#comment:5> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
