The problem can be circumvented by using the patch from netbsd: http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/pkgsrc/mail/akonadi/patches/patch- shared_akapplication.h?rev=1.1&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup
However, it may be noteworthy, that looks very much like #35210 , so a different fix might be more appropriate.

#38315: akonadi fails to build on snow leopard ---------------------------------------+--------------------- Reporter: thomas.friedrichsmeier@… | Owner: nicos@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.1.3 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: akonadi | ---------------------------------------+--------------------- Comment (by ryandesign@…): #35210 was resolved 5 months ago, back when boost 1.51.0 was current; the boost port was updated to 1.52.0 in r99457 and to 1.53 in r103719 (just two days ago), and it's not uncommon for new boost versions to cause problems in programs using it. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/38315#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
#38315: akonadi fails to build on snow leopard ---------------------------------------+--------------------- Reporter: thomas.friedrichsmeier@… | Owner: nicos@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.1.3 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: akonadi | ---------------------------------------+--------------------- Comment (by nicos@…): Thanks for the detailed description and link to the patch. This patch is indeed the right solution in my point of view. The include fails like the issue in #35210, but it is because it does not have the safeguard from BOOST_TT_HAS_OPERATOR_HPP_INCLUDED variable like most files in boost. I'll commit the patch along with the upgrade to 1.9.1 soon. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/38315#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
