I Googled this error message, and it looks like this may just not work on 10.3 right now:

I'm not sure what, if anything, can be done to make it work. You may want to contact the people who wrote in that thread and see if they have any new information now.
My latest commit against libsdl port must have broken the quicktime version check, I'll look into it. Anyway, libsdl can't build on Panther with QuickTime 7.0.4 or later. You should try to downgrade QuickTime to version 7.0.3 or upgrade to Tiger. -- Anthony Ramine, a lazy french student. nox@macports.org
