subversion install error: neon checksum

While installing subversion port, neon was reported as failing checksum. After that, any attempt to proceed shows this: ~ sudo port install -dv subversion ---> Verifying checksum(s) for neon Error: Target com.apple.checksum returned: Could not open file: /opt/local/var/db/dports/distfiles/neon/neon-0.25.5.tar.gz Error: The following dependencies failed to build: neon Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
