Hi - In order to get octave back up and running I'm trying to install SuiteSparse. I'm having similar issues to the ones discussed in this thread: http://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/macports-users/2007-January/001026.htm... (Except I'm on PPC rather than Intel.) If I run "sudo port install SuiteSparse" the tool tries to fetch "patch-complex-type" from various locations but fails to find it, and gives up. I have tried Anthony's suggestion (download SuiteSparse-2.2.1.tar.gz and drop it into the right place) but this doesn't change the behaviour - the port command still wants to find and apply the patches. I'd be grateful for any advice. Best Dan
