Hi. I've installed Ruby, and am now interested in Rails, rake, and related gems. Should I install them from MacPorts, or should I use Ruby's RubyGems package manager?
Hi there Nathan! I recommend installing ruby and rb-rubygems from MacPorts and then installing rails from the RubyGems package manager... José Tiburcio On Dec 17, 2006, at 8:51 PM, Nathan Brazil wrote:

Thanks for the reply, José. So now I have RubyGems installed, I am ready to install gems. However, where do these gems get installed? Would they be installed somewhere inside of /opt/local? -- On Dec 17, 2006, at 4:50 PM, José Tiburcio Ribeiro Netto wrote:
