I was just trapped for a moment in a path issue with GNOME (I didn't realize gnome- settings-daemon needed /opt/local/libexec and /usr/X11R6/bin in its PATH to run). On that note, I just went to MacPorts.org to find docs and they're not obvious. (is there a reason why clicking the Downloads link takes you to another page that invites you to click on it to get to the downloads?) the docs are in the wiki but that could be more clearly spelled out at the top level, I think.
