Hi, I'm trying to build gcc 4.2, but I get the following errors (running 'sudo port install gcc42') : /opt/local/bin/odas: assembler (/opt/local/libexec/as/x86_64/as or ) for architecture x86_64 not installed Installed assemblers are: /opt/local/libexec/as/ppc64/as for architecture ppc64 /opt/local/libexec/as/ppc/as for architecture ppc /opt/local/libexec/as/i386/as for architecture i386 I installed MacPorts 1.4 and run a 'sudo port selfupdate', so I should be up to date. I also know, that there is already a ticket with this error ( http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/ticket/11309 ), but it is closed... I'm working on an iMac with C2D and OSX 10.4.9.
