build of physfs 1.0.1 failed (dependency of Lincity-NG)
Hi *, today I tried to install Lincity-NG. But the build of physfs 1.0.1 failed on my Mac Mini (1.83 GHz, 1 GB ram, Leopard 10.5.1). Before I started the build I've executed: "sudo port selfupdate". today I tried to install Lincity-NG. But the build of physfs 1.0.1 failed on my Mac Mini (1.83 GHz, 1 GB ram, Leopard 10.5.1). Before I started the build I've executed: "sudo port selfupdate". Here is the errorlog of the physfs 1.0.1 build:

I'm guessing that's similar to what was fixed by this change for Tiger two and a half years ago: http://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/changeset/11813 I applied a similar fix for Leopard: http://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/changeset/31395 If you wait 30 minutes and then "sudo port selfupdate" again you should get the change, and should be able to install it with "sudo port clean --work physfs" and "sudo port install physfs".

Hi Ryan, thanks for your fast response. The build of physfs completed now successfully. ---> Installing physfs 1.0.1_0+darwin_9 ---> Activating physfs 1.0.1_0+darwin_9 ---> Cleaning physfs ---> Removing build directory for physfs Thanks and best regards, Sven
Hi *, to get the music within Lincity-NG, just add /opt/local/lib to your $PATH (e.g. add /opt/local/lib to .profile) Best regards, Sven Sven Wolf wrote:

I don't know what that's about. It compiled and ran ok for me, on 10.4.11 Intel with Xcode 2.4.1. I'm not familiar with libtinygettext.a. I see you filed a bug: http://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/ticket/13378 Don't forget to assign bugs to the port's maintainer so he'll see them.

/opt/local/lib would be a weird thing to add to $PATH wouldn't it? / opt/local would be a more normal thing to add, but of course it should already be in your $PATH if you've gotten this far with MacPorts. I get sound but no music, regardless of whether I've added /opt/local/ lib to the $PATH or not. I see an error in the xterm: Couldn't load music file '/opt/local/share/lincity-ng/music/02 - Robert van Herk - City Blues.ogg': Failed loading libvorbisfile.dylib: dlopen(libvorbisfile.dylib, 2): image not found Don't know why; libvorbisfile.dylib exists in /opt/local/lib as expected. Maybe the lincity-ng port should be updated to 1.1.2. (It's at 1.1.0 currently.) I filed a ticket for this: http://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/ticket/13384

Hi Ryan, I was wrong regarding adding /opt/local/lib to the path, there is still no music after expanding the path :( But when I do a 'cd /opt/local/lib' and then starting lincity-ng then I've music :) Best regards, Sven
