For (open|net|free)bsd/sunos/linux support maybe. Anyway, if the port was simply removed, the lib:...:XFree86 dependencies would have to be replaced with something like a warning 'get Apple's X11!' Note, XFree86_44 is not the XFree86 port; the _44 is the older 4.4 track. Looking at svn logs, it seems like it was added when the base XFree86 was at an earlier version, so definitely sounds like it can be removed. Bryan
