New apps can take a while for reviewing, especially if you've had a rejected binary beforehand. Update go faster, especially when you don't have to resubmit them.

How long did it take for your app to get reviewed? I'm guessing they have to be reviewed by a team that knows MacRuby - hence it might be a bit longer than normal. (My app is only about 140 lines of code).
