That's a good question. At a glance there is at least a big technical problem: the GC engine, which MacRuby uses and which is currently closed source. Laurent

I think there are a lot more potential problems than that. I don't see Cocoatron as anything as a distraction right now in any case since MacRuby has a ways to go just in becoming a production quality solution on Mac OS X without looking further afield. - Jordan
