The usual symptom is that MacRuby will crash at some point, possibly more than once, during the suite and the suite will never finish. There are reports on the mailing list, see "[MacRuby-devel] 'rake spec:ci' causing crash (built from HEAD)" and I personally have a hard time running "spec:ci" due to crashes and end up running some subset of the full suite related to what I am working on.
