[Xquartz-dev] XQuartz 2.7.9 (xorg-server 1.17.4) does not provide "per display information" for GNU Emacs 24.5

After the upgrade from XQuartz 2.7.8 (xorg-server 1.16.4) to XQuartz 2.7.9 (xorg-server 1.17.4) GNU Emacs 24.5, built previously with XQuartz 2.7.8 (xorg-server 1.16.4), now does not launch, neither from an Xterm nor from some Mac OS app’s window (NS variant of GNU Emacs, Terminal, …). It reports: (process:69889): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_settings_schema_source_lookup: assertion 'source != NULL' failed Error: Couldn't find per display information The GLib message is a regular guest… This is on Mac OS 10.11.5 (15F34), El Capitan, on an iMac 27“ Late 2013. — Greetings Pete
