Hi Jeremy, I just installed 2.3.3_rc4 on my MacBook running 10.5.6. I can confirm what Bernard reported. I have Safari open in Space 1. With X11 not running, I type xeyes in a Terminal.app window in Space 3. The eyes appear in Space 3. I click on the dock icon for Safari and Space 1 appears. I then click on the X11 dock icon and the eyes appear in Space 1. Louis Here are my defaults: Procyon: ~] defaults read org.x.X11 { "NSWindow Frame x11_apps" = "170 69 872 465 0 0 1280 778 "; "NSWindow Frame x11_prefs" = "740 279 484 330 0 0 1280 778 "; "app_to_run" = "/usr/X11/bin/xterm"; "apps_menu" = ( ( Terminal, xterm, n ) ); "cache_fonts" = 1; depth = -1; "done_xinit_check" = 1; dpi = 112; "enable_fake_buttons" = 0; "enable_key_equivalents" = 1; "enable_system_beep" = 0; "fullscreen_menu" = 0; "login_shell" = "/bin/sh"; "no_auth" = 0; "nolisten_tcp" = 1; rootless = 1; "startx_script" = "/usr/X11/bin/startx"; "sync_clipboard_to_pasteboard" = 1; "sync_keymap" = 0; "sync_pasteboard" = 1; "sync_pasteboard_to_clipboard" = 1; "sync_pasteboard_to_primary" = 1; "sync_primary_on_select" = 1; "wm_click_through" = 1; "wm_ffm" = 0; "wm_focus_on_new_window" = 1; } ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Huddleston" <jeremyhu@apple.com> To: "Bernard Giroux" <giroux@geo.polymtl.ca> Cc: "X11 List Mailing" <x11-users@lists.apple.com>, "Developer talk about Xquartz" <Xquartz-dev@lists.macosforge.org> Sent: Monday, April 6, 2009 4:39:47 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: Re: 2.3.3_rc4 I can't reproduce this. * Move to space 4 * Open Mail.app * Move to space 1 * Open X11.app * Create 2 xterms in space 1 * Click on Mail in the dock, we move to space 4 * Click on X11 in the dock, we move to space 1 Is anyone else seeing this and able to provide some additional information? This one broke spaces functionality.
Here's the scenario:
- I have all my X11 windows in space 1; - I go to some other app in another space; - I switch back to X11 with either cmd-tab or the dock, I get my X11 windows in the current space instead of going back to space 1.

I was debating whether or not to just call this 2.3.3, but I found an API issue that I want to address for the final release (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484457), so here is one more rc. It fixes most issues reported (all except Chris' key repeat) since the last rc and also addresses the "menus moving you to a different space" bug.

Enjoy.
