[Xquartz-dev] using xscope with xquartz?

Has anyone managed to get the xscope program (which is available in the current MacPorts) to work with the Xquartz server? I have been unable to puzzle out a combination of command line options which actually outputs any debug information from xscope when running X11 programs. FYI, I am trying to get this to work in order to debug a failure of the molmol molecular modelling program to display its UI widgets under MacPorts X11 release. Thanks in advance for any advice. Jack
