I installed the latest security update and just tried to launch / Applications/Utilities/X11.app. X11 crashed with the same message. The reason is clear: the security update also updated some files in the / usr/X11 tree to fix some security problems. Installing the final version of corrected this behaviour. One question is left: has X11 2.5.0 the same security fixes as Apple's security update? The wiki does not explain this. (I'm on Leopard.) BTW, the localisation is not perfect. In German the X11 menu has in English "Check for X11 Updates...," which should read "Nach Aktualisierung suchen…" In the German preferences, Pasteboard, after the PRIMARY check field the text "(Middle-Click)" is written. It should read: "(Mittel-Klick)." -- Greetings Pete The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not "Eureka!"
