Hello, I'm new to the list but I'm using X11 since the beginning, thus first I want to thanks all the team for making X11 still available on MacOS. One suggestion, as XQuartz provide some packages with pkgconfig spec as /opt/X11/lib/pkgconfig/cairo.pc, is it possible to provide pkgconfig itself in XQuartz release ? I need pkgconfig to build gtk. Is there a chance to have gtk included in a next release? Regards, Pascal. http://blady.pagesperso-orange.fr

Hello Louis, well, in fact no. I guess I should ;-) Installing some components manually or through MacPort is not really my point. As XQuartz come with some GTK components as cairo, free type, fontconfig, etc, I wonder if pkgconfig or even gtk could be part of XQuartz ? Thanks for your answer, Pascal. http://blady.pagesperso-orange.fr Le 27 févr. 2013 à 12:50, Louis Zulli <zullil@lafayette.edu> a écrit :

Me, I would like to see a bigger choice of window managers, complete GNOME desktop, and support of transparency, but these all are not necessary. I think no-one will stop you found a site that delivers in package form what you want – provided by you and other enthusiasts. In case these do not like to use Fink, MacPorts, Homebrew. Four package managers (Apple has one too) is not the limit! -- Greetings Pete "Evolution" o __o _o _ °\___o /0~ -\<, ^\___ /=\\_/-% oo~_______ /\ /\______/ \_________O/ O_______________o===>-->O--o____
