I've uploaded XQuartz 2.7.1_rc3 for testing. This should be fairly close to the final 2.7.1. The primary changes since rc2 are: Fixed bug #478: Fixes hiding (cmd-H) in fullscreen Fixed bug #486: Fixes stuck mouse buttons when switching applications Fixed bug #538: The quartz-wm crash reported just after rc2 was released pixman-0.24.4: Fixes some trapezoid rendering bugs I've also updated versions of a few apps and libpng. http://static.macosforge.org/xquartz/downloads/SL/XQuartz-2.7.1_rc3.dmg
Endless crash-loop (opens, closes, opens, closes...). No error messages shown. This is in 10.6.8. Rc2 was working fine though.
I've seen this in the past… check if its the same thing… your /tmp/.X11-unix sometimes gets messed up. Delete it in terminal and see if XQuartz starts. On Feb 11, 2012, at 9:11 AM, Phoenix Gabriel wrote:

I didn't see anything in /tmp/.X11-unix, but I removed the directory anyway. Unfortunately it still crashes. However, it doesn't keep reopening anymore. That might not be related though. It previously stopped the open/crash cycle on its own.
It's quartz-wm that can't launch: : [albatrossen ~] 130; /opt/X11/bin/quartz-wm dyld: Symbol not found: _CGSWindowIsVisible Referenced from: /opt/X11/bin/quartz-wm Expected in: flat namespace in /opt/X11/bin/quartz-wm Trace/BPT trap: 5 11 feb 2012 kl. 16:11 skrev Phoenix Gabriel:

Ah, yes! I see that in my crashlog now. So, presumably whatever was changed due to bug #538?
Sigh... looking into it now, sorry. I'll try to get an rc4 up today with a fix for this. On Feb 11, 2012, at 8:25 AM, Phoenix Gabriel <xquartz@korv.us> wrote:
