No, you're seeing it right. The SU thrashes the X11 update. I wanted to require 10.5.7, so you are forced to update the OS first. I was under the impression that 10.5.7 was released to the public last week. I was in error there. I checked both ppc and intel, the latest public version of os x would appear to be 10.5.6 is "X11 2.3.3 OS-X Requirements OS-X 10.5.7 or later " a typo?

or am I missing something?

for whatever reason, the file: http://xquartz.macosforge.org/downloads/X11-2.3.3.dmg is taking 'forever' to download about 40 minutes on a 8Mb line. this was tested during the download and reported as 3.78Mb about 10x longer than gimp or inkscape...
