Does xquartz support composite extension?
Hi, I'm wondering if xquartz supports composite extension and transparent window. If not, any plan to support it? Thanks James Su

I don't speak for the developers, but for those of us who have been on the list for a while it seems obvious that there are more urgent tasks that need addressing first. However, it seems a natural thing to aim for once the serious bugs have been squashed. Who knows, it may even turn out to be easy, given the excellent transparency support already present on the mac? - Harald

Well you pretty much hit the nail on the head. My main focus right now is stability and usability. COMPOSITE is on the hitlist, and it is one of the Google Summer of Code projects if you want to jump in and get your hands dirty. --Jeremy
