XQuartz 2.3.2 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple32) copy&paste
Hello! I tried to update the programmes menu and hoped I could copy from GNU Emacs some complete invocations. When I had a field selected in the "menu editor" I was not able to copy from any X client. Is this the expected behaviour on Mac OS X 10.4.11 PPC, MacPorts? (It works to copy text from the X client and select a field in the "menu editor" afterwards to paste it now.) -- Greetings Pete Upgraded, adj.: Didn't work the first time.
Hello! I compiled GNU Emacs 23.0.90 with the MacPorts xorg libraries (and works better than when using Fink or original X11R7.4), but one problem is left: Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0". xorg-libXrandr @1.2.3 x11/xorg-libXrandr xorg-randrproto @1.2.1 x11/xorg-randrproto are installed. Do I need to install also xrandr @1.2.3 x11/xrandr -- Greetings Pete Make it simple, as simple as possible but no simpler. – Albert Einstein
That's expected. The server doesn't support the RANDR extension. On Feb 10, 2009, at 06:33, Peter Dyballa wrote:
