[CalendarServer-users] Create Group Calendars?

I'm missing something... How do I create group calendars? I have LDAP working it seems and able to view my groups via /principals/groups/<groupname>/ on the web gui but not able to access via ical. I've tried the calendarserver_manage_principals script but after a quick look at the code it's not doing anything but start the server with the caldavd-dev.plist from the src tree. I also tried the CalDAVClient tool but it doesn't seem to do what I need to do? Would love a hint or two.
