I can find an ansi.h in the 10.2.8 and 10.3.9 SDKs only, too. None on  
the current 10.4.3 system or in the 10.4u SDK.

ls: /usr/include/machine/ansi.h: No such file or directory

Is it possible you mixed up your installation? Clean 10.4  
installation, upgraded to 10.4.3 with Xcode 2.1, here.
