Trac displaying .diff files strangely?

Looking at the source more carefully, it seems the difference is that
with the .diff files, the source of the HTML page contains only a
<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" class="diff"> ... </div>,
not the rest of the page. I still don't know an explanation for this behaviour.
