Looks like I've found the answer by now on the mentioned wiki page: Just adding --- configure.compiler macports-gcc-4.4 depends_lib-append port:gcc44 --- seems to be enough to get the port built with the wanted compiler. So, does this mean, there is no gcc_select command on the command line and all this is only related to a Portfile?
