MacPorts officially supports the latest two releases of Mac OS X. With
the release of 10.7 Lion, we will be dropping the offical support for
10.5 Leopard.

I don't know when Subversion 1.7 will be released, but I expect this to
happen after the release of Lion. I don't think we need a subversion16
port as users in the need of subversion 1.6.x could fall back to
/usr/bin/svn.
