Well, you're right. It says "mention the affected ports", not prepend. :-)
It looks like the majority of port committers simply uses that format, so I thought it's the standard way to do it.
Never mind, I am not blaming anyone, made the same mistake myself a couple of times.
It just improves readability of the Timeline so much.
