Not to be blunt, but apache1 hasn't been working on recent OS X releases
(using clang) for a year or even longer, until I beat it into submission
for a new port submitted by Julien to actually work.

Didn't seem like a lot of people actually cared about that.

I certainly don't blame anyone, I wouldn't have cared either, had I not
been trying to help out when I saw the huge list of new bug reports
(actually, more like submissions and fixes) created.

Plus, I have no idea if apache1 is still maintained upstream. Googling
around brought OpenBSD's "FrankenApache"[1] fork to light. That isn't
upstream apache httpd 1.x, though.
