I have seen a number of occasions where MacPorts cannot seem to find the binary for a Portfile from the default repository and builds the package locally.</div></blockquote></div><br>Most often that's because there is a license conflict. (Some of these don't actually exist; for example, ports that require ld64 for linking often falsely claim a license conflict as a result.
