 Charles Rich reports that xfig won't activate:

 He says the directory has two files: Fig and Fig-color

 He was using the XFree86 port, and the problem went away when uninstalling
 XFree86 and using Apple's X11 instead. It would be nice if xfig would be
 usable with both XFree86 and Apple's X11.
