 Some problem with the Makefil.in or the Makefile.in.in (!)

 The latter has a line

 MSGFMT = @MSGFMT@

 and the Makefile.in has a line

 MSGFMT =

 and the Makefile has

 .po.mo:
         $(MSGFMT) -o $@ $<

 So it doesn't work. I guess the problem is with whatever processes
 Makefile.in.in
