 I agree with you.
 Yesterday morning I have installed gd2 at 2.0.35_2 with libtool at 1.5.26_0
 during tests for resolving the http://trac.macports.org/ticket/17631.
 Unfortunately gd2 does not get installed with libtool at 2.2.6a_0.
