Comment:

 True, a fix like this is needed on PowerPC (and not just on Leopard). I
 experienced this myself last year on Tiger PowerPC (when building glib2
 universal outside of MacPorts). And then I forgot because I got rid of my
 PowerPC Mac. But I'll take care of it now.
