Comment:

 With the ports tree at revision 36929 (just after gnucash 2.2.5 made it
 in,) this still happens. This was built from scratch on a G4 machine. I
 attach screenshots of a pie chart report (the stock "Expense Piechart"
 report) and of a bar chart report (the stock "Average Balance" report.)
