 When installing a 4-way universal build distroot hangs on ppc64 with the
 message:

 You may see messages regarding extended capabilities, e.g., AX.
 These are extended terminal capabilities which are compiled
 using
         tic -x
 If you have ncurses 4.2 applications, you should read the INSTALL
 document, and install the terminfo without the -x option.

 Built using Intel (Core 2 Duo)/Leopard using MacPorts r47435.

 Bug report #18187 claims to fix this issue in r47312 but I am continuing
 to have the problem.

 Command used:
 sudo port -v install ncursesw +universal
