 I agree with your decision - obviously something strange (some sort of
 unforseen interaction) is going on. I've tried to diagnose it as I've had
 a little experience working with `jam`, but can't figure out what's going
 wrong. At least, more so than all the previous discussion has indicated.

 If you can think of any debug output, configuration, or tests I can
 perform, I'd be very happy to oblige and help.
