 I don't think this will (or should be) supported -- having two competing
 package managers trying to upgrade the same package sounds like a recipe
 for chaos. This is much like how p5-* ports should be used for perl
 modules rather than CPAN, etc.

 It's perhaps conceivable that you could set up a separate texmf tree that
 uses tlmgr, but I haven't thought about it.

 Were you looking for updates more often than yearly? Or finer-granularity
 packages? Or something else?
