 The release of 'qca-ossl' is so old, what you say certainly could be
 possible.  Interestingly, the KDE folks have corrected that issue in a
 yet-to-be-released version of 'qca-ossl'; see
 http://websvn.kde.org/?view=revision&revision=1111902 .
