 Trace:

 Error: Unable to execute port: architecture mismatch
 }}}

 When I forcibly install gcl's many dependencies with the +x86_64 option,
 gcl fails to compile.

 Specs:

 Mac OS X 10.6.5

 ~MacBook Pro 5,1

Comment:

 There is no "+x86_64 option".

 This error suggests you migrated your MacPorts from a previous Mac with an
 earlier version of Mac OS X (or upgraded this Mac to Snow Leopard from an
 earlier version). In this case, you need to uninstall all ports and
 reinstall them, as per the [wiki:Migration Migration instructions].
