 That is also what I was trying to do when I posted my log file earlier
 this month (install kdenlive, that is)... gavl is the last piece of the
 puzzle.

 I lack the know-how to find a fix for this myself, but I'm sure that if
 someone more knowledgeable than I looks at this ticket and tries to come
 up with a fix, it would be helpful for them to know some details about
 your system. Are you using the new OS X Lion (10.7) like I am? Could you
 post your log file like I did?
