 iPython version 0.12 adds the ability to run an ipython instance as a
 "notebook" in a web browser [http://ipython.org/ipython-
 doc/rel-0.12/whatsnew/version0.12.html]. This functionality requires py-
 tornado. Thus, py-tornado should be added as a dependency, either to the
 port itself or to a variant of the port.

 I have verified with python 2.7 that installing py-tornado is the only
 change needed to allow the notebook function to work.
