Comment:

 This resolution is broken, as it assumes that you have and want both
 tkinter and py*-tkinter installed.

 IMHO a +tkinter variant should be created instead.

 As it stands now, I'm unable to build py27-pil without installing
 py27-tkinter, which wants tk, which wants tcl + Xft2 + xorg-
 libXscreensaver, etc.

 I only want pil for image processing - not the image display
 functionality.

 Please don't assume that folks want or have X libraries installed. Thanks
 :-)
