 I needed to install boost in the universal (x86_64 and i386) variant.
 It immediately noticed that the ports bzip2 and expat I had installed were
 not universal, and so it recompiled it.
 However, I had single-arch zlib too, and thus the compilation failed (the
 linker thrown an error saying couldn't find required symbols for i386 in
 zlib).
 Running "port install zlib+universal" fixed the issue.
