Comment:

 Current version of libmemcached is 1.0.2. Maybe updating would fix build
 failures with clang; see #31790.

 Probably wise to upgrade memcached to latest stable version first; see
 #32199.

 Andrew, did you get permission from Brett to add openmaintainer to the
 port?

 We don't want a cumulative patch; in particular, we always want to commit
 whitespace changes and reformatting separately from functional changes, so
 that it's easier to discern the functional changes when looking at the
 diff.
