 This is just going from bad to worse.

 Doing

 sudo port -f uninstall rdepof:gcc46
 sudo port clean gcc46
 sudo port install apple-gcc42
 sudo port install gcc46
 }}}
 has now resulted in an error in trying to reinstall gmp:
