 No, that's not likely; if that were the case, we would have fielded bug
 reports about it from virtually every single person trying to use MacPorts
 on Snow Leopard over the past two years, and that has definitely not been
 the case. No, the problem is that you or some program you installed
 replaced your functional /usr/bin/install_name_tool with an ancient
 version that's not functional on Snow Leopard.
