 I would bet that the executable is being made into a .app by QMake, and
 then placed into /Applications/MacPorts (using default values) or
 /Applications/MacPorts/Qt4 .  Do a "port destroot gnuplot" and then go
 into the destroot directory and find what you're looking for.  I'll put
 myself on CC so you don't have to email me directly.
