 I'll do what you say, as I understand. The schedule is as follows:

 {{{
 $ sudo port clean perl5.8
 }}}

 and then

 {{{
 $ sudo port install perl5.8
 }}}

 The dialogue that I get is:

 Unfortunately the process fails again. I will add the main.log after
